Happy Week before Break! There are not too many announcements for this month, other than we are working our way up to using bow! Some students have started already, and many are just around the corner. Every student will start when we get back from break.
Extra Help
Extra help runs every other Friday at Centerville from 2:15-3:15. The upcoming dates are: February 13, March 6, March 20, April 3, and April 17. You can sign-up here.
Practice Alternatives for Break/Extra Resources for Practicing
Break is a time where many students go away and (very understandably) are not able to bring their instruments with them. Here are some extra resources for all students to work on when they can’t practice with their instruments, or would like a fun alternative to just playing their instrument.
Quizlet
These can be printed or used directly on the website to practice notes.
Blooket
Blookets are a great way to play a game and learn at the same time! Students will need to sign-up for a free account in order to play this. Once the account is made, they can press the “Play solo” button and choose an activity to study with.
This is a great website with a very good tool that can be used to help quiz students on notes and reading notes quickly.
First, the settings will need to be changed for the instrument.
First is clef: Violin reads Treble Clef. Viola reads Alto Clef. Cello/Bass reads Bass Clef.
Second, press the Range button.
